Speaker: Christin Elawny, Associate – Field Law

Session Description: Family Status Accommodation
The area of family status is a developing area of the law.  Learn about the latest legal tests for establishing discrimination based on family status as well as the employee’s role in facilitating accommodation.  The speaker will also provide some practical tips for managing employee requests for accommodation based on family status.   

Speaker Biography: Christin is a senior associate in Field Law’s Labour & Employment Practice Group, focusing on employment and human rights law.  Christin provides employers with strategic and practical advice on a range of issues including discipline and termination, constructive dismissal, policies and procedures, employment agreements, discrimination, and the duty to accommodate.
